Jerry.ai is a consumer platform managing car and home ownership—insurance, maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics. Founded in 2019, the company has grown to 5M+ customers, raised $240M+, scaled revenue 70X, and achieved profitability in early 2024. They are now expanding into adjacent verticals (home, motorcycle, RV) with a goal to reach 50M customers and become a $10B business within four years. The BizOps & Analytics team is a core strategic function staffed by former McKinsey, BCG, and Bain consultants who drive data-informed decision-making across product, growth, tech, and operations. Each business unit has an embedded BizOps analyst who shapes questions, pulls data, draws conclusions, and drives execution. You will join the central BizOps & Analytics team and be embedded in one of Jerry's core business areas: Growth Marketing, Product Development, AI & Automation, or Strategic Partnerships. You will own the analytical function for your assigned business unit end-to-end. Key responsibilities: - Define the right problems: Understand what business question an analysis answers and what decision it informs. Push back on flawed questions. - Data and insights: Define metrics, build reports, run analyses, design experiments, and surface insights that move key metrics. - Drive outcomes: Bring recommendations to product, growth, finance, or operations counterparts; communicate findings clearly and recommend next steps. You are a first-principles thinker who breaks ambiguous problems into clear hypotheses before analyzing data. You are analytically strong (Excel, SQL, or Python) but lead with "what are we solving?" rather than jumping to solutions. You communicate directly and persuasively, walking skeptical stakeholders through complex findings to secure buy-in. You act like an owner—if something is broken, you feel responsible for fixing it, even outside your swim lane. Required: 6+ years at a consulting firm, investment bank, or high-growth tech company. Strong independent data skills. Track record owning ambiguous problems and delivering impact. Clear, persuasive communication with leadership influence. Tools: SQL (Clickhouse), Metabase, Python, Jupyter Hub, GitHub. Culture: No slides, no corporate fluff, hands-on execution. Focus on work that materially changes business trajectory. Small, insatiable team of 14 problem-solvers with no bloat or unnecessary approvals.
