Checkout.com is a global fintech payments platform powering over 10 billion transactions yearly for companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony. This Senior Manager role leads a portfolio of enterprise merchant accounts with a focus on strategic growth, long-term value creation, and commercial excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own the 12-18 month strategic roadmap for a portfolio of enterprise merchants, identifying revenue expansion opportunities and integrating Checkout's solutions into their core business operations.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to merchant C-suites, delivering compelling commercial narratives, leading impactful quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and translating payment performance data into win-win outcomes.
• Lead complex, multi-layered contract negotiations, renewals, and strategic deals by crafting innovative commercial models in collaboration with Deal Management, Legal, and Strategic Pricing teams while owning the final commercial outcome.
• Champion value-based, data-driven selling by diving into merchant metrics to provide confidence in Checkout's ability to deliver meaningful, insight-driven results.
• Act as the "Voice of the Merchant" internally, partnering with Product and Engineering teams to influence the roadmap based on evolving merchant needs and market trends.
• Mentor junior account managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and active knowledge sharing across the Commercial team.
• Demonstrate excellence in fast-paced environments, collaborating across multiple departments and influencing both internal and external stakeholders.
The role is based in London (Checkout.com's HQ) with a hybrid working model: three days per week in office, supporting collaboration and team connection.
Qualifications:
• 6+ years' experience in B2B Account Management, Relationship Management, or a commercially focused role in FinTech and/or Payments industry
• Strategic problem solver with excellent project management skills
• Strong knowledge of major e-commerce and payments technologies, key industry players, and emerging trends
• Multifaceted approach with ability to adapt to changing requirements and balance multiple opportunities
• Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, collaborating across departments and influencing stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
• Fluent in English (required for UK focus)
