Alan is a healthtech company building the new standard in prevention insurance, integrating insurance, prevention, and care into a single user experience. The company serves 1M+ members across 40K+ partner companies and has reached €800M+ in ARR.
As Senior Life and Income Protection Insurance Analyst, you will own the 360° technical performance view of Alan's Life and Income Protection (Prévoyance) business, including profitability, pricing, underwriting support, product launches, and reinsurance strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
**Profitability & Analytics:** Build and enhance reserving, monitoring, and profitability steering methodologies and tooling (accounting, best estimate). Explain profitability drivers, identify market trends, and assess implications for renewals including pricing and guarantee adjustments. Develop forecasting tools and analytics to predict portfolio performance and margins at scale, connecting with Finance & Risk teams. Analyze the relationship between Prévoyance coverage and absenteeism prevention initiatives.
**Pricing:** Define and improve theoretical and experience pricing methodologies. Adapt analyses to specific business segments (small amounts, high-severity claims, newly launched segments). Contribute to portfolio renewal strategies in collaboration with Strategy, Product, Sales, and external stakeholders (insurers, reinsurers).
**Underwriting & Product Launch:** Support underwriting teams with technical analysis, guidelines, ad hoc methodologies, and automation initiatives. Provide technical input for new product and geography launches. Contribute to reinsurance plan definition and optimization, including partnership management.
**Team Growth:** Create processes and resources to strengthen the team's pricing and portfolio steering capabilities. Support hiring of new Insurance team talent. Build internal Prévoyance knowledge for onboarding and stakeholder upskilling.
Requirements:
- Experience in insurance, portfolio monitoring, and pricing
- Ability to balance deep technical work with high-level strategic vision
- Scientific background (statistics, actuarial sciences) with understanding of death & disability insurance/reinsurance, technical, data, regulatory, and business questions
- Comfortable with coding (SQL required; R/Python preferred) and leveraging AI in daily work and data assets
- Analytical, structured, fact-based decision-making style
- Strong teamwork, curiosity, learning, teaching, and stakeholder management skills
- Passion for transforming the insurance industry and challenging the status quo
- Strong written communication skills across diverse stakeholders (underwriting, finance, strategy, risk, product, local teams)
- Fluent in English (Alan's working language)
