Legora is an AI-native legal workspace that helps legal professionals move faster and operate with greater precision. The company serves 1,000+ customers across 50+ countries, including top-tier law firms like Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, and Linklaters, and has scaled to $100M+ ARR with teams across Europe, North America, and APAC.
As Senior Legal Engineer based in Tokyo, you'll bridge the gap between Legora's product and its most sophisticated legal clients. This is a hybrid role combining legal operations expertise, product specialization, solutions architecture, and client relationship management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as a strategic thought partner to world-class legal teams, building trusted relationships and identifying high-value opportunities for platform adoption
- Owning client relationships end-to-end with Customer Success, from pilot programs through full-firm adoption at major law firms and corporate legal departments
- Acting as the voice of the user inside Legora, translating client insights into product development priorities and roadmap direction
- Delivering compelling product demos and training that showcase platform capabilities
- Developing best practices, scalable playbooks, and frameworks for global team growth
- Helping clients navigate the AI transformation in legal services, including ROI evaluation and practice-area impact mapping
You bring a legal background (top-tier law firm, in-house corporate legal, or legal tech experience) combined with genuine tech curiosity and product sophistication. You're comfortable with technical conversations around generative AI, implementation, and productivity tools—not necessarily a coder, but fluent in translating between legal and engineering disciplines. You thrive in ambiguity, manage multiple client relationships simultaneously, and balance quality with pragmatism. You understand how emerging technologies can improve legal processes and are proactive, self-directed, and energized by fast-moving environments.
