DTX Pharma, a Novartis Company, seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to serve as the lead legal partner for the Breast Cancer Therapeutic Area and its global portfolio. You will provide strategic legal guidance to commercial, medical, value and access, and development teams, identifying and mitigating legal, regulatory, and compliance risks across key business activities. Your responsibilities include leading the drafting, negotiation, and management of complex research, development, and commercial agreements; supporting business development activities, alliance management, and integration of strategic assets and partnerships; and reviewing promotional, medical, congress, and external communication materials to ensure compliant execution. You will drive innovation by enabling novel business approaches and supporting successful product launch strategies while building organizational capability through legal training, cross-functional collaboration, and knowledge sharing. Close partnership with regional and country legal colleagues will ensure coordinated and consistent legal support across the Breast Cancer portfolio. Required qualifications include a law degree and bar admission with strong legal expertise in a commercial environment, significant post-qualification legal experience, and a strong understanding of pharmaceutical legal frameworks, compliance requirements, and risk management principles. You must demonstrate proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide pragmatic advice in complex global organizations, with excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills across diverse cross-functional teams. Fluency in English and the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive solutions independently are essential. Desirable qualifications include in-house legal experience within a global pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare organization and experience supporting international business operations. The role offers hybrid flexibility in Basel, Switzerland or London, UK, with competitive base salary (CHF 146,300–271,700), performance-based bonus eligibility, potential long-term equity awards, comprehensive benefits including insurance and retirement plans, wellbeing resources, and a minimum of 14 weeks paid parental leave.
