Salary: CHF 146,300 - 271,700 / annual

DTX Pharma, a Novartis Company, seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to serve as a strategic legal partner for its International Neuroscience & Gene Therapies portfolio. You will provide legal guidance across commercial, medical affairs, development, and market access functions, working closely with senior leadership to enable breakthrough gene therapies and innovative neuroscience products. Key responsibilities include: serving as lead legal advisor for a portfolio of innovative products and strategic initiatives; providing strategic legal guidance to commercial, medical, value and access, and development teams; identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal, regulatory, and compliance risks; leading drafting, negotiation, and management of complex research, development, and commercial agreements; supporting business development, alliance management, and strategic asset integration; enabling compliant promotional, medical, and external communications; driving innovation through novel business approaches and product launch strategies; and building organizational capability through legal training and cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with global, regional, and country legal colleagues to ensure coordinated legal support across the product portfolio. This role combines legal excellence with business leadership, requiring influence over complex global initiatives in a fast-moving pharmaceutical environment. Required qualifications: law degree and bar admission with strong commercial legal expertise; significant post-qualification experience in healthcare/pharma or top-tier law firm advising healthcare/tech clients; strong understanding of pharmaceutical legal frameworks, compliance, and risk management; proven ability to influence senior stakeholders with pragmatic advice; excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills; ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under tight deadlines; fluency in English. Desirable: in-house legal experience in global pharma/biotech/healthcare; experience supporting international business operations.
