Gong is seeking a Senior DataOps & Business Intelligence Engineer to join the IT Infrastructure team. This role bridges data engineering, analytics operations, and business intelligence, focusing on building and maintaining scalable data infrastructure that powers Gong's revenue intelligence platform.
You will own critical responsibilities across three domains:
**BI Engineering & Data Activation:** Design and develop Reverse ETL (RETL) pipelines using Census, Workato, dbt, and Snowflake to activate transformed data into destination SaaS applications (Salesforce, Zendesk, etc.). Manage API integrations, data sync observability, and error resolution. Administer and optimize Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud environments, including user provisioning, security, permissions, extract scheduling, and performance tuning. Build and maintain custom internal applications in Retool, integrating with Snowflake, REST APIs, and third-party systems. Integrate generative AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Vertex AI) into internal tools to automate workflows and enhance analytics capabilities.
**DataOps & Infrastructure:** Automate and optimize data workflows, deployment, and monitoring for reliability and performance. Implement CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure and analytics solutions. Collaborate with IT and DevOps to maintain secure, scalable AWS-based infrastructure for data workloads. Work with modern stack components including GCP, AWS, Snowflake, Jenkins, dbt, Retool, Census, Tableau, and Workato.
**Governance & Security:** Establish and promote data quality, lineage, and governance best practices. Work with IT and security teams to enforce access controls and compliance requirements. Establish best practices for dashboard deployment and BI environment stability.
You are a strong self-starter comfortable navigating ambiguous, fast-paced environments while managing stakeholder relationships across business and technical teams.
