Salary: USD 150,000 - 190,000 / annual
SimpleClosure is building infrastructure to streamline business dissolution and asset recovery. The company has raised over $20M and serves 7,000+ companies, helping founders navigate shutdown processes and connect with buyers for remaining assets.
You'll join Asset Hub, SimpleClosure's marketplace for digital assets (codebases, data, talent) acquired from shuttered companies. Your buyers include leading AI labs, RL environment providers, and AI agent builders seeking proprietary datasets and talent unavailable elsewhere.
As Senior Infrastructure Engineer reporting to the CTO, you'll lead technical design and development of novel systems for digital asset acquisition, preparation, and delivery. You'll architect scalable, maintainable solutions across the stack, mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and ensure security and quality standards. You'll work closely with leadership, product, and design to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
Key responsibilities include: leading complex feature development from concept to deployment; mentoring and guiding engineers; designing scalable systems and APIs; collaborating cross-functionally; conducting code reviews; building protective systems for data security; introducing modern tools and frameworks; and partnering with leadership on technical direction and team workflows.
Required: 5+ years professional software development, 2+ years in senior/leadership capacity. Proficiency in modern backend/infrastructure technologies (Python, Go, Docker, Kubernetes, Service Meshes, Terraform). Demonstrated ability to design scalable systems and APIs. Proven mentoring and coaching experience in collaborative, early-stage environments. Strong focus on testing, maintainability, performance, and security. Startup mindset with ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
