As a Senior Informatics Engineer, you will design, implement, and develop informatics processes and systems supporting all phases of the research pipeline. You will work closely with scientists and engineers to capture and manage functional requirements, serving as a core team member responsible for building scalable, AI-enabled solutions that integrate into the information ecosystem while ensuring data architecture integrity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering, designing, implementing, integrating, developing, and testing informatics solutions including LIMS/ELN software (Dotmatics, CDD Vault), Inventory Management systems (Mosaic), and AI/ML platforms (Databricks)
- Designing, building, and deploying AI agentic tools and LLM-powered workflows to automate scientific data processes and accelerate research decision-making
- Implementing data warehouse/data lake systems and ETL pipelines supporting advanced analytics and AI/ML strategy
- Designing and building data automation pipelines and ETL processes that ingest, transform, and harmonize research data from multiple sources
- Collaborating cross-functionally to develop an end-to-end digital architecture roadmap
- Analyzing data management, access, analytics, and visualization needs across R&D functions
- Gathering user stories, designing applications, implementing and integrating systems, and guiding IT system functionality
- Ensuring comprehensive system documentation including requirements, architectural design, and operational plans
- Coordinating training and support for end-users on system usage and best practices
- Participating in enterprise-wide data platform architecture design
