Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to own and scale enterprise labor standards capability across its manufacturing operations. This role goes beyond conducting individual time studies—it requires architecting a durable, enterprise-wide system that produces consistent, defensible labor standards regardless of which industrial engineer conducts the study. The Manufacturing Design Team is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defense hardware, including static equipment, ground vehicles, sensors, undersea systems, and flight vehicles. The team scales these products across Anduril's production footprint, including Arsenal-1, a new 5-million-square-foot manufacturing facility. In this role, you will own the complete labor standards lifecycle: defining enterprise standards for time study methodology (stopwatch, MODAPTS, MTM, video analysis, work sampling), establishing observation protocols, sample sizing, rating and leveling procedures, and documentation requirements. You'll design and deploy standardized tools, templates, data collection forms, and analysis workbooks to ensure consistency across all sites, products, and business lines. Key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining a centralized labor standards repository aligned with the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and existing tech infrastructure—serving as the single source of truth for all time studies, element-level standards, and labor content data. You'll own governance for how studies are archived, versioned, searched, referenced, and challenged. Additionally, you'll define the integration between labor standards and MES, establishing the business process for how validated times are matched to work instruction details and consumed by production planning, scheduling, and earned-value tracking. You'll determine when and how time studies are triggered across the NPI (New Product Introduction) maturity plan, from initial engineering estimates through pilot builds to validated production standards. This includes establishing the cadence and criteria for when preliminary standards are set, when formal studies are conducted, and when standards are locked for rate production. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment, is flexible with change and ambiguity, and can act as connective tissue among operational stakeholders—Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Program Management, Supply Chain, and Business Operations—to advance the production system.
