d-Matrix is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to lead compensation strategy and people operations for a fast-growing AI and hardware company. This is an individual contributor role focused on the analytical backbone of HR — you will own market benchmarking, salary structures, internal equity analysis, and merit/bonus modeling while supporting broader HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead market benchmarking and survey data analysis to maintain competitive, defensible salary ranges and job structures
- Own job matching, leveling, and internal equity analysis across the organization
- Build and maintain compensation models for merit cycles, bonus pools, and promotions
- Support offer construction and equity compensation analysis for new hires, promotions, and internal moves
- Build and maintain HR reporting dashboards (headcount, comp analytics, turnover) to identify trends and risks
- Own core People Operations processes including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, HR documentation, payroll coordination, and benefits administration
- Serve as HR systems owner for ADP WFN, Ashby, and Lattice, ensuring data accuracy and supporting integrations and audits
- Partner cross-functionally with HRBPs, Business Leaders, Talent Acquisition, Global Mobility, Employee Relations, and Legal on HR service delivery
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, and SOPs in response to regulatory changes
This is a hands-on generalist role rather than a pure Total Rewards specialist position. You will bring real analytical depth to compensation and reporting while flexing into core HR ops work as needed. Complex executive and sales compensation design will be handled by specialized outside expertise.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in HR Operations with meaningful, hands-on compensation experience (not limited to participating in annual comp cycles)
- Direct experience with market benchmarking/survey data, salary structure design, job matching/leveling, internal equity analysis, and merit/bonus modeling
- Solid understanding of equity compensation
- Strong Excel and analytical skills with ability to build models rather than just interpret them
- Experience with HRIS/ATS systems (e.g., ADP WFN, Ashby) supporting data-driven people operations
