Apex manufactures satellite buses (spacecraft platforms) at scale for the commercial space industry. As a Sr. Global Supply Manager, you will lead purchasing and supply chain strategy for direct materials, working across production, program management, engineering, and leadership to ensure manufacturing readiness and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: - Own purchasing strategy and execution for direct materials used in spacecraft manufacturing - Design and implement sourcing strategies for key spacecraft components - Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers across responsible sourcing commodities - Manage strategic spend, budget reporting, and cost reduction initiatives - Identify and qualify new supplier candidates; drive continuous improvement across the supply base - Implement and maintain direct supplier contracts with full negotiation authority - Build strong internal stakeholder relationships to anticipate requirements and align with business needs - Manage material flow including logistics, inventory, and warehouse operations within Apex manufacturing facilities - Support development and rollout of purchasing strategies company-wide You will interface with all levels of the organization and play a critical role in both team and company success. The role requires strong decision-making, cost reduction expertise, negotiation skills, project management, contract management, and spend analytics. Apex is a fast-growing aerospace startup that has raised over $500M in funding. The company manufactures satellite buses that enable earth observation, communications, and other critical space applications. You'll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with experts from aerospace and new space industries. Requirements: - U.S. Person status (required to access export-controlled data) - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or equivalent business discipline - 6+ years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Operations - Demonstrated track record of achieving cost reductions - Demonstrated track record of on-time delivery of goods and services - Strong attention to detail and analytical skills - Ability to break down spend and purchasing data to drive continuous improvement - Strong presentation skills and ability to interface with leadership - Willingness to travel as needed for site visits and customer engagements
