The company provides software, services, and legal infrastructure for founders managing equity, fund managers running administration and reporting, and legal teams closing transactions. You'll join the Funds team within the LP Transfers function, managing end-to-end transfer processes for limited partner interests across multiple client accounts each quarter. Working alongside paralegals and senior lawyers, you'll own day-to-day client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for complex multi-party transfer workflows. This team operates at the cutting edge of legal delivery, using AI-backed tools to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes for sophisticated asset managers and investment funds. Key responsibilities include: - Supervise and mentor paralegals through complex LP transfer processes, ensuring documentation is accurate, timely, and aligned with client playbooks and SLAs - Serve as primary point of contact for clients and counterparties, coordinating KYC/AML, transfer documentation, signing, and post-closing actions - Own and evolve client playbooks and negotiation parameters, escalating material issues to the Legal Director while maintaining deal momentum - Build and deepen trusted client relationships, positioning Carta as the go-to partner for LP transfer work - Support business development by contributing to new client pitches alongside the Growth team - Partner with the technology team to continuously improve AI-driven legal delivery tools and workflows You should have strong background in LP transfers, closed-ended funds, or private markets work with ability to independently manage complex transfer processes. You're client-focused and commercially minded, building strong relationships with sophisticated asset manager and investment fund clients. You have experience supervising and developing junior lawyers and paralegals, managing team performance across multiple simultaneous workflows. You're detail-driven, execution-focused, and comfortable working with AI-backed legal tools. Licensed to practice in England & Wales or comparable jurisdiction with 5+ years of relevant experience recommended.
