Carta is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join its rapidly growing Fund Administration team. You will partner with top venture capital firms to streamline their financial accounting needs and support fund managers in running administration and reporting for $250B+ in assets under management.
In this role, you will provide strategic support across capital calls, audit/tax support, pre/post-close services, quarterly and annual financial reporting, and limited partner communications. You'll help clients leverage real-time IRR, portfolio data, and performance metrics (TVPI, RVPI) to make more accurate decisions. You'll work cross-functionally with product, engineering, go-to-market, and operations teams to improve Carta's venture capital product suite and transform fund administration from a service business into a software-driven operation.
You'll be part of a dynamic team focused on three core competencies: technical excellence, client management, and innovation. The Fund Administration team at Carta has proven product-market fit in the venture capital space and is positioned to become the leading fund administration group.
You should have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to judge when to make decisions versus escalate. You communicate information timely and appropriately to stakeholders while managing multiple deadlines. You have a solid understanding of venture capital, private equity, hedge funds, and fund administration, with experience interpreting limited partnership agreements.
