Okta's Auth0 is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join the Enterprise Management team, which owns the governance, dashboards, and APIs for enterprise-scale identity management. You'll design and build high-performance, customer-facing features end-to-end using React and Node.js/TypeScript, architecting backend APIs for throughput, latency, and reliability at enterprise scale.
Key responsibilities include: designing and optimizing backend APIs (public and internal) for performance; implementing and managing caching strategies (Redis) to minimize response times; profiling and resolving performance bottlenecks across the full stack from React rendering to database query optimization; modeling and optimizing data access patterns across PostgreSQL and MongoDB; driving technical improvements to ensure systems are highly reliable, maintainable, and scalable; collaborating with engineers across teams to design powerful new APIs and features; mentoring and coaching other engineers on sound engineering practices and performance discipline; and participating in on-call rotation.
You'll work with Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, React, Docker, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure preferred). The team ships with quality—recent launches have gone live with zero production bugs.
Required qualifications: 5+ years working on large-scale systems; strong expertise in Node.js/TypeScript for backend services and public/internal APIs; production experience building fullstack React applications with component architecture, state management, and rendering performance; deep experience with PostgreSQL schema design, query optimization, and indexing; production MongoDB experience with document modeling and aggregation pipelines; hands-on caching layer design (Redis) with cache invalidation and TTL management; demonstrated ability to identify and resolve performance problems using profiling tools and APM; containerization (Docker) and cloud environment experience; strong communication and mentoring skills.
Good to haves: experience building RBAC systems, multi-tenant platforms, or identity infrastructure.
