n8n is seeking a Senior FP&A Manager to own the financial planning and forecasting for the Marketing function. This is a strategic role reporting to Marketing leadership, responsible for translating demand, funnel, and investment decisions into integrated financial views that drive sharper decision-making across both product-led growth (PLG) and sales-led growth (SLG) motions.
Key responsibilities include: (1) owning n8n's annual planning and regular forecasting for Marketing end-to-end, from top-down targets through regional segmentation and budget consolidation; (2) partnering with budget owners across demand generation, brand, community, DevRel, product marketing, and events to set budgets and sharpen investment trade-offs; (3) modeling demand creation, signup volume, MQL, activation, conversion, and velocity across both PLG and SLG; (4) assessing CAC, payback, conversion, pipeline contribution, and ROI using attribution and incrementality testing; (5) establishing a repeatable framework for material marketing bets with hypothesis, baseline, expected return, confidence ranges, and post-investment review; (6) building investment cases for brand, community, content, and events that don't attribute cleanly to closed revenue; (7) partnering with Marketing Ops, RevOps, Data, and Controlling to maintain alignment on attribution and measurement; and (8) translating financial reporting and variance analysis into actionable insights for Marketing leadership and executives.
Required qualifications: 7+ years FP&A or strategic finance experience in fast-paced tech or B2B SaaS; proven leadership of complex, multi-entity, multi-stakeholder annual planning and forecasting; deep demand-side finance partnering in either PLG or SLG with strong understanding of both; fluency in CAC, CAC payback, CLV/CAC, pipeline attribution, funnel conversion, and velocity; demonstrated ability to build and defend investment cases for unattributable spend; comfort owning program budgets including commitments, phasing, and vendor economics; sophisticated financial modeling skills; strong executive communication and presentation abilities; and an AI- and automation-first mindset with comfort using platforms like n8n.
Nice-to-haves include deep experience across both PLG and SLG, background in community-led or developer-focused companies, exposure to incrementality testing and marketing mix modeling, and familiarity with Marketing and RevOps.
