Salary: USD 110,000 - 155,000 / annual

Astranis is a venture-backed aerospace company building advanced satellites for high-orbit communications. The company operates five satellites on orbit with a backlog exceeding $1 billion in commercial contracts, serving large enterprises, sovereign governments, and the US military. Astranis employs 450+ engineers and operates a 153,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Northern California. As Senior Production Financial Analyst, you will be the primary financial partner to Astranis's manufacturing and machining teams, driving financial discipline and clarity as the company scales production. This is an analysis-heavy role requiring deep expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and complex financial modeling. Key responsibilities include: - Owning budgets, financial planning, reporting, and analysis for the entire Production function - Driving sophisticated capital expenditure analysis, evaluating long-term equipment investments and modeling complex tradeoffs - Partnering with department leaders on headcount planning, resource allocation, and spend management - Delivering variance analysis and actionable insights to drive departmental accountability - Building scalable reporting tools and dashboards to provide leadership visibility into production costs - Supporting monthly and quarterly close processes in coordination with Accounting and Finance - Balancing rigorous deep-dive analysis with effective cross-functional business partnership You should have 2–5 years of financial planning & analysis experience, with direct experience in manufacturing or hardtech environments. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field is required. Advanced Excel skills, sophisticated financial modeling capabilities, and a proven track record with CapEx analysis are essential. You must be detail-oriented yet able to zoom out and provide strategic insights to business leaders, with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally. Bonus qualifications include startup or high-growth company experience and NetSuite or similar ERP system experience. U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status is required to comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations.
