In this Senior Financial Analyst role, you will support two distinct business areas simultaneously: the core acquisition motion and the Education business. This dual focus provides exposure to different business economics and operational models that most analysts at this level do not typically encounter.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning underlying financial models for core acquisition: headcount planning, rep productivity, rep compensation, and acquisition forecasting
- Owning underlying financial models for the Education business: order volume, physical product cost and inventory, margin per unit, and ARR
- Maintaining model hygiene by keeping models clean, current, and well-structured as a core job function
- Collaborating with analytics to build foundational datasets, definitions, and context layers that enable automated and repeatable analysis
- Building automated workflows using AI coding tools to automate model refreshes, data pulls, and recurring analysis
- Independently pulling and validating data via SQL and Redshift, leveraging AI tools and context layers, with escalation to Analytics for complex requests
- Building and maintaining self-serve dashboards for both business areas to reduce manual reporting requests
- Proactively identifying and flagging data quality issues, methodology gaps, and reporting inconsistencies
You are AI-native and building-oriented, reaching for tools like Claude Code or Codex as your default problem-solving approach rather than manual work. You take pride in maintaining clean, organized models with proper underlying datasets and definitions. You have solid financial modeling fundamentals with strong Excel and Sheets skills, understand proper model structure, and can read and interrogate SQL queries to validate correctness. You bring genuine curiosity to dig past initial answers and operate with velocity, knowing when a question needs rigorous analysis versus a directional answer.
The role is fully remote across US time zones, with select offices available in the US and internationally.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, investment banking, or similar field
- Ability to read, dissect, and diagnose SQL queries (including those generated by AI); must be able to judge query correctness
- Regular use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, or similar) as your default problem-solving approach, not one-off experiments
- Confident and frequent building of Excel or Sheets-based financial models, increasingly using AI tools while maintaining modeling fundamentals
- End-to-end ownership of recurring financial or operational reports, including understanding and improving underlying logic
- Experience keeping models or datasets clean and current over time with proper definitions and structure for reusability
- Ability to operate in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where requirements shift rapidly
- Effective cross-functional communication skills and proactive teamwork
