This role is central to the financial infrastructure that enables leadership decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Own the complete monthly reporting cycle: actuals loading, budget-vs-actuals analysis, variance commentary, and management reporting packages with actionable insights - Maintain and operate the 3-statement financial model and driver-based forecasting, including reforecasting mechanics and scenario planning - Manage headcount and software/vendor expense forecasting, tracking actuals against approved budgets throughout the month - Maintain the company-level KPI and metrics layer (ARR, NRR, gross margin, CAC payback, Rule of 40), ensuring data integrity and reporting accuracy - Own Pigment model hygiene, integrations, and report building as the source of truth - Build and maintain department-level budget tracking reports; support department leaders with regular budget, headcount, and software spend coverage - Partner with GTM leadership on sales team planning and KPI tracking - Drive automation of manual work in monthly close and forecast cycles using AI and tooling improvements, with measurable cycle time reduction - Document processes to ensure repeatability, auditability, and independence from individual contributors - Build internal tooling to improve financial reporting and budget workflows, reducing spreadsheet dependency Required Experience: - Several years in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, or private equity with direct exposure to recurring corporate finance cycles - Proven ability to build and maintain 3-statement financial models with scenario planning and sensitivity analysis - Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and core accounting principles - Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel with large datasets and formula-heavy models - Deep command of SaaS metrics and drivers; experience in SaaS or usage-based business models - Demonstrated ability to own deliverables independently and produce clear, accurate output ready for leadership - Consistent drive to improve workflows and eliminate manual processes - Self-motivation and ability to manage competing priorities without close oversight - Curiosity and willingness to figure things out independently in ambiguous areas - Working knowledge of SQL is a plus Ideal Candidate: - Energized by owning processes end-to-end, not just contributing to tasks - Takes quality seriously and understands the difference between technically accurate and genuinely useful variance explanations - Improvement-focused by default; notices inefficiencies and acts without being asked - Thrives in collaborative, non-hierarchical environments with high expectations - Confident communicating directly with department leaders about budget and headcount - Excited about building and improving financial infrastructure, not just maintaining it - Drawn to companies building at the edge of technical possibility
