Tigera provides Calico, a unified network security and observability platform for Kubernetes clusters. The company's open-source offering is the most widely adopted container networking and security solution, powering over 100M containers across 8M+ nodes in 166 countries and used by leading enterprises including Discover, Chipotle, NBCUniversal, and Royal Bank of Canada.
You will build and execute Tigera's field and event marketing strategy to drive qualified pipeline and customer engagement. This is a hands-on role with ownership from strategy through execution and measurement.
Key responsibilities:
**Set the field and event strategy:** Build a focused calendar of cloud, Kubernetes, infrastructure, and security events, including partner and regional programs. Choose where Tigera should sponsor, speak, attend, or host based on buyer fit, target accounts, and meeting potential. Test new communities and formats, then invest in what works.
**Run high-impact programs:** Own event budgets, vendors, logistics, speakers, and on-site execution. Partner with Sales on target accounts, meeting plans, and executive preparation. Create relevant experiences, from conferences and partner events to dinners, roundtables, and technical meetups.
**Generate demand and pipeline:** Build campaigns and outreach with Sales, Product Marketing, Content, and partners before and after key events. Ensure every event has clear goals, lead capture, and follow-up owners; coordinate workflows with Sales and Marketing Operations. Measure qualified meetings, account engagement, opportunities, and pipeline, and use results to improve the program.
Success is measured by qualified meetings and engagement with target accounts, timely follow-up and conversion to opportunities, event-sourced and event-influenced pipeline, cost per qualified meeting, and speaking, customer, and partner opportunities with the right audiences.
**Requirements:**
- 2+ years of experience in B2B field marketing, events, demand generation, or a related role, with hands-on ownership of programs, booth and collateral messaging
- Experience marketing technical products to enterprise buyers; cybersecurity, cloud, Kubernetes, or infrastructure experience is a plus
- Track record of turning events into qualified conversations, not just attendance
- Strong project management, communication, budgeting, and cross-functional skills
- Proactive approach, comfort working with executives and technical teams, and willingness to travel from Vancouver for priority events
