Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Dynamics Analyst to contribute to the analysis, design validation, and continuous improvement of the Neutron launch vehicle—a medium-lift, reusable launch system. In this role, you will predict and define loads and environments for vehicle components, support testing and qualification campaigns, and specify vehicle instrumentation including accelerometers, strain gauges, and thermocouples.
Key responsibilities include performing finite element analysis and analytical methods to predict launch vehicle vibration environments, contributing to test plan definition for dynamic testing (random vibration, acoustics, shock), and post-processing test results. You will define suitable sensors and their locations to monitor in-flight environments, then post-process data to verify correlation with numerical predictions. Additionally, you will perform detailed simulations and establish technical methodologies used across the engineering team.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced engineer excited to support a complex aerospace project from conceptual design through integration and launch. You will work in a small, high-performing team focused on continued learning and growth, thriving in ambiguity while contributing to meaningful space missions. The role is based in Auckland, New Zealand, and offers the chance to be part of Rocket Lab's mission to make space accessible and routine.
