Cohere is a leading enterprise AI company building frontier foundation models and end-to-end products for businesses. As Senior Director of Solutions Architecture for Asia Pacific, you will own the Solutions Architecture function across the region, leading a team that enables production deployments for banks, telcos, industrials, and governments who require sovereign and regulated AI solutions.
You will build and expand the Solutions Architecture team across Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia, establishing in-region depth and technical credibility. This is a leadership build role where you will hire, coach, and develop high-performing teams while personally driving technical wins in strategic enterprise pursuits.
Key responsibilities include: leading the regional Solutions Architecture organization through hiring and performance management; opening doors across the region leveraging your existing network and industry knowledge; owning the technical outcome of the region's most strategic opportunities; defining vision and strategy for the function across three distinct markets with different buying patterns and regulatory requirements; architecting sovereign and regulated deployments across cloud, hybrid, VPC, on-premises, and air-gapped environments; establishing scalable solution-selling methodologies and industry playbooks; partnering with regional Sales leadership on territory, coverage, and pipeline accountability; and shaping product direction by translating Asia Pacific customer needs into platform improvements.
You will lead executive workshops, discovery sessions, and technical deep dives with C-suite stakeholders; develop business cases, solution architectures, and implementation roadmaps; guide customers through enterprise AI deployment ensuring scalability, security, and governance; create repeatable solution assets and best practices; collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success; and serve as the voice of the region, capturing customer feedback and competitive insights that influence product strategy.
Required qualifications: 15+ years in Solutions Architecture, Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Enterprise Architecture, including 7+ years leading customer-facing technical teams with a record of developing people into senior and leadership roles. You must have built or run a technical organization across multiple Asia Pacific markets, understand how enterprise technology is bought in each market, and possess a network of senior technical and executive relationships. Proven track record of hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing Solutions Architecture or Solutions Engineering teams, including building teams in-region from a small base. Hands-on technical credibility required.
