Kaseya is a leading provider of AI-powered IT management and cybersecurity software serving Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and internal IT organizations worldwide. This is a foundational leadership role responsible for building and executing strategy for Kaseya's unified intelligence experience and customer data platform. The Senior Director will drive creation of a centralized data platform that powers insights, automation, and personalization across Kaseya's product portfolio and key cross-product workflows, enabling MSPs and their customers to make data-driven decisions at scale. The role requires defining and executing the vision for how Kaseya leverages customer data, telemetry, and AI/ML to create competitive differentiation, improve customer experiences, and unlock new revenue opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define, shape, and clearly communicate long-term Data, API, and AI strategy, vision, and roadmap
- Build and scale Data, API, and AI capabilities as core product differentiators
- Provide thought leadership in design, architecture, and execution of the platform ecosystem, ensuring optimization for performance, scalability, cost, and reliability
- Set the bar for engineering culture, encouraging best practices and improving processes
- Orchestrate alignment across Product, Engineering, GTM, and Trust teams
- Drive platform modernization to reduce tech debt and accelerate innovation velocity
- Execute clear commercial and technical KPIs across a large portfolio
- Shape Kaseya's platform strategy and collaborate with creators of open-source software like Argo and Numaproj.io
This position demands deep technical expertise in data platforms, APIs, analytics, runtime platforms, and AI/ML capabilities, combined with strategic product thinking and cross-functional collaboration.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 15+ years of experience in data engineering, AI/ML, API, Runtime (Kubernetes), Identity platform, platform engineering, or related fields, with deep expertise in designing and building distributed data systems and applied AI
- Proven leadership at Senior Director level (strongly preferred) building and leading high-performing global engineering teams, balancing short-term execution with long-term strategic growth
- Extensive experience building and scaling cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data, API, and AI platforms, with strong focus on high availability, fault tolerance, and cost-efficiency
- Demonstrated success growing and evolving data and AI platforms to meet needs of rapidly scaling business, ensuring data-driven decisions at all organizational levels
- Strong strategic mindset translating business objectives into scalable technical solutions that deliver value across the organization
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, driving impactful solutions across engineering, product, and business teams
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
