Salary: USD 220,000 - 292,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Maneuver Dominance Division focuses on vertical flight and autonomous systems in the near-earth domain, with a portfolio of UAS and air-launched effectors.
You will lead the International Business Development strategy for the Maneuver Dominance Division as it enters a phase of hypergrowth and significantly expands its international deal pipeline. Reporting to the Managing Director for Growth, you will coordinate and execute the International portfolio in partnership with Global Defense Country teams and subordinate BD teams.
Key responsibilities include:
• Drive multi-functional, diverse teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Business development at Anduril extends beyond relationship management to coordinating all enablers—GTM strategies, government relations, communications, and marketing—to craft and execute integrated strategies.
• Generate and capture business opportunities. You will identify, pursue, and shape opportunities for existing, in-development, and new platforms and capabilities. You will develop deep understanding of the existing and prospective client base, know the current and planned programmatic and technical roadmap, and monitor the competitive landscape in commercial, defense, and international markets. You will plan and manage continuous engagements with current clients and prospective customers, monitor buying cycles, support proposals and new customer efforts (including authoring and reviewing RFI, RFP, RFWP responses), and help close new business. Special emphasis on candidates with defense procurement, applications, and/or operations experience in Maneuver Dominance.
• Grow existing business by partnering with adjacent business lines and product engineers to identify expansion opportunities with current clients, exploring new opportunity areas while sustaining strong client relationships.
• Communicate Anduril's value to customers, partners, competitors, and the public, projecting the company's ethos and competitive edges in building next-generation defense technology.
• Inform product development by serving as a liaison between customers and the engineering organization, translating customer problem sets into actionable internal plans and product roadmaps, interpreting client needs for growth and engineering teams, managing priorities and execution, and keeping stakeholders informed.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Proven international development and growth leader with validated experience building, executing, and winning business capture strategies with emphasis on commercial and defense maritime industries.
• Working command of international defense deal flow: direct experience executing FMS and DCS transactions, navigating ITAR/EAR export licensing (DSP-5, TAA, MLA), and managing partner-nation relationships and MOD procurement cycles.
• Aptitude and appetite to thrive in organizations with nascent structure, high-ownership culture, and "whatever it takes" environment.
• Ability to deliver in ambiguous environments while maintaining composure, strong interpersonal skills, and executive gravitas.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated high-energy, high-ownership leader with strong management skills and emotional intelligence.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial, creative environment; build, adapt, and implement innovative market approaches.
• Excellent writing and communication skills with experience briefing senior executives and customers.
• Demonstrated knowledge of relevant DoD/IC/Commercial programs, platforms, payloads, enabling technologies, systems integration, and software development.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Prior DoD capture and sales experience.
• Expertise in foreign military sales and technical, programmatic, and operational challenges of autonomous systems and/or crewed aviation.
• Expertise in defense and commercial industries or complex engineering systems.
• Prior military or contracting experience, or DoD/Government experience (Rotary Wing Aviation a plus).
• Experience with government business development, contract structures, and proposal processes.
• Master's or PhD in Engineering or related technical field.
• Ability to travel 30-50%, majority international.
• Currently holds and can maintain active U.S. Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
