Good American, an inclusive fashion brand founded in 2016 by Emma Grede and Khloé Kardashian, is seeking a Senior Director of Creative Production to lead all aspects of photo and video content creation. Reporting to the Creative Director, you will oversee the strategic planning and execution of shoots, manage production budgets, and lead a small team while collaborating with senior leadership across marketing, creative, and finance.
Key responsibilities include:
**Strategy & Planning:** Partner with the CEO, Creative Director, and brand creative team to define shoot scope, budgets, and talent. Develop and execute the seasonal Drop Calendar in alignment with product releases and market trends. Create and manage the content calendar, scheduling shoots, styling sessions, and fittings. Build and oversee all photo and video production budgets, including one-off projects. Lead pre-production and production planning across logistics, travel, crew sourcing, talent booking, location scouting, equipment, catering, and timelines.
**Execution & Production:** Produce and deliver photo and video content for web, social media, campaigns, e-commerce, and lookbooks, managing all phases from pre-production through post-production. Ensure content is delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. Manage and mentor the Production Coordinator, balancing workload and supporting professional growth. Oversee shoot days from crew arrival through wrap. Collaborate with Art Directors and Styling teams to source items and coordinate styling sessions. Manage the in-house photo studio, including equipment, supplies, maintenance, and purchasing. Develop and maintain vendor and freelancer relationships. Prepare and manage vendor and talent agreements with Legal. Secure all required production and location permits. Build and manage post-production timelines for photo and video, coordinating reviews, retouching, editing, and final asset delivery.
**Operations & Reporting:** Plan and organize activities to meet deadlines and maximize efficiency. Set clear goals, priorities, and timelines while proactively communicating delays or roadblocks. Report key learnings and opportunities for improvement to the broader team. Manage freelancer payroll onboarding and vendor invoicing. Maintain regular budget reporting with the CMO and CFO, partnering with Finance to track spend, manage forecasts, and ensure productions stay within budget. Research industry trends, production resources, vendors, locations, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for content elevation and production efficiency improvements.
The role requires onsite presence four days per week.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum 5 years of production experience within creative industries
- Must have experience managing photo studios and on-set production
- Extensive production knowledge and hands-on experience managing complex location shoots, including locations, permitting, vendors, crew, equipment, logistics, and on-set production requirements
- Demonstrated people-management experience with ability to effectively manage workloads, set priorities, provide guidance and feedback, and support professional development of direct reports
