Celonis is seeking a Senior Director to lead the Madrid Center of Excellence (CoE) as part of the EMEA/JAPAC Services leadership team, reporting to the SVP Services. This is a broad leadership role spanning both innovation and delivery operations.
You will lead the CoE's AI-augmented delivery transformation, including Apollo/Atlas, agentic delivery, and reusable assets, making AI-led delivery the default across the region. You will manage CoE Managers, Principal Deployment Engineers, and Deployment Architects, overseeing a team of 30+ Deployment Engineers and Architects supporting the business across EMEA/JAPAC.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive AI-augmented delivery transformation and lift delivery productivity across the region, collaborating with the Global CCO AI Agentification team
- Own a balanced CoE scoreboard tracking utilisation, AI-driven delivery productivity, delivery quality, customer satisfaction, reusable-asset generation, and senior talent retention
- Work with services leadership to reinforce CoE strategy, including services delivery, employee profiles, hiring plans, organizational structure, enablement, and career development
- Develop and grow CoE domains aligned to business directions, empowering skill and domain knowledge growth
- Oversee the CS Project Office managing resource allocation, utilisation, capacity planning, PSA, and delivery excellence
- Maintain subcontracting relationships and governance, overseeing a pool of subcontractor talent
- Own CoE health including engagement, morale, retention, productivity, and enablement
- Serve as day-to-day people manager for managers and principal engineers, investing in career development and culture
- Collaborate with global programs on repeatable assets and methodology development
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Value Engineering to drive customer satisfaction and business goals
The CoE serves as the center of AI-augmented delivery, product innovation, new product rollout, technical domain ownership, and business domain knowledge to the field. You will partner with the Bangalore CoE, regional services leaders, and Global Programs to run aligned CoE strategy and scale Madrid as an organization generating and measuring reusable assets while holding deep product, platform, and AI expertise.
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 years of professional experience including relevant leadership and management experience; professional services practice leadership for a SaaS company preferred
- Deep understanding of Celonis products and platform; hands-on knowledge preferred
- First-hand experience in a post-sales role within Celonis
- Demonstrated experience as a leader of leaders, developing senior talent and managers
- Top-performer with demonstrable past success achieving relevant targets and KPIs
- Growing experience with AI-augmented delivery and track record of adopting new tools and ways of working at scale
- Experience in process engineering, program management, enablement practices, methodologies, and corresponding tools/technologies
- Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for using operational metrics and process improvement to support decisions and drive organizational optimization
- Ability to disseminate team goals, objectives, and metrics to higher-level OKRs and track outcomes
- Ability to adapt to fast-moving, high-growth environment with positivity, creative thinking, and growth mindset
