Curriculum Associates is seeking a Senior Director of Assessment Solutions and Technical Strategy to lead proposal response strategy and technical documentation for the Assessment and Psychometrics teams. The company serves a third of the nation's K–8 students through award-winning learning programs like i-Ready, with a mission to make classrooms better places through research-based, accessible learning experiences.
In this role, you will lead the development and ongoing management of the proposal response process for state and district markets, translating complex psychometric expertise into clear, compelling proposal text and technical documentation. You'll work at the intersection of educational measurement science and strategic communication, ensuring all materials reflect Curriculum Associates' principled approach to assessment and deep technical rigor.
Key responsibilities include: driving proposal response strategy to position assessment products competitively while balancing product roadmaps; translating technical documentation into accessible proposal materials and assessment boilerplate; managing documentation libraries and versioning as products and research evolve; leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate proposal drafting and documentation workflows while maintaining expert review for accuracy; serving as a primary translator between psychometric expertise and broader team needs; diagnosing gaps in proposals and developing technically rigorous solutions; reviewing RFPs and RFIs with a critical measurement lens; identifying market needs and capability gaps; providing guidance on communicating assessment and research topics; contributing to third-party reviewed publications and conference presentations; and representing Curriculum Associates as a thought leader at conferences like NCME, CCSSO, and AERA.
You will report to the Associate Vice President of Assessment Solutions and work closely with leaders across Assessment Programs, Bids and Proposals, Sales, Marketing, and other departments. The role emphasizes responsible AI adoption, with expectations to model effective AI use for analysis, writing, communication, and project management. Strong analytical and creative thinking skills, data analysis capability, and deep expertise in educational measurement and K–12 assessment are essential.
