Neo4j is seeking a Senior Developer Advocate for Startups to drive developer engagement among early-stage companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role bridges the startup community—including incubators, VCs, and founder networks—with Neo4j's graph intelligence platform. You will own multiple dimensions of developer engagement: building and maintaining relationships with founding engineers and technical leaders at startups; serving as the primary point of contact for startup inquiries and support; and acting as a liaison between the startup community and Neo4j's product and engineering teams. Key responsibilities include creating technical content (blog posts, tutorials, videos, code samples, SDKs, and demos) that help developers understand and adopt Neo4j; presenting at developer events, webinars, and workshops; advocating for the product within the developer community; gathering developer feedback and translating it into product insights; creating and managing developer forums and communities; organizing meetups, hackathons, and user groups; developing educational resources and training materials; and tracking developer engagement metrics to measure advocacy impact and inform continuous improvement. Neo4j is a rapidly scaling graph database company backed by world-class investors (Eurazeo, GV, Inovia Capital) with over $600M in funding and a $2B+ valuation. The company recently surpassed $200M in annual recurring revenue and serves 84% of the Fortune 100 and 58% of the Fortune 500, including Boston Scientific, BT Group, Caterpillar, Cisco, Comcast, eBay, and NBC News. The platform is trusted by the world's largest graph community and has received numerous industry awards. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field - 5+ years of experience in developer advocacy, developer relations, or related technical role - Deep technical knowledge and proficiency in relevant technologies - Exceptional public speaking, presentation, and communication skills - Strong content creation abilities (writing, video, code samples) - Strong project management and organizational skills - Excellent interpersonal and community-building skills - Passion for technology and fostering developer communities
