Zscaler is seeking a Senior Detection Analyst to join its Detection Operations Team in a fully remote role. You will analyze telemetry, alerts, and log sources across multiple detection domains—Endpoint (EDR), Identity, Network, and Cloud/SaaS—to identify and publish threats for Managed Detection and Response (MDR) customers. Your responsibilities include reviewing and communicating threat findings with clear, actionable remediation guidance at scale.
Beyond reactive threat analysis, you will drive continuous improvement of Detection Operations workflows through orchestration and automation initiatives, enabling the team to handle high volumes of telemetry efficiently. You'll leverage query languages (SQL, Lucene) and scripting (Python, Ruby, PowerShell) to enhance detection capabilities and reduce manual work.
Success in this role requires deep expertise in endpoint detection and response platforms, familiarity with current attack landscapes and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks, and a demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools into your problem-solving approach. You should be comfortable with DevOps workflows and possess strong analytical and communication skills to translate complex security findings into clear customer-facing narratives.
