Maven Clinic, the world's largest virtual clinic for women and families, is seeking a Senior Decision Scientist to own measurement and insights across the organization. This role bridges clinical product, member experience, and AI/healthcare initiatives, creating a unified data narrative that drives decision-making across teams.
You will own key cross-functional reports end-to-end, understanding not just how they're built but why each metric matters and how dependent teams use them. You'll consolidate fragmented reporting into a coherent, shared view so every team operates from the same source of truth. A core part of your work involves surfacing insights that only become visible when examining data across multiple surfaces rather than within silos, then translating those insights into clear direction for stakeholders.
You'll partner on designing scalable data architecture using SQL and Python, reducing ad-hoc requests and enabling teams to answer their own questions faster. You'll define success metrics with partners across Product, Engineering, and Operations, pairing rigorous measurement with strategic framing. You'll also establish shared language, standards, and best practices that make the entire team sharper—mentoring other analysts along the way.
Minimum qualifications include 5+ years of analytics or data science experience with cross-functional work, fluency in SQL and DBT, strong data visualization skills, and proficiency with BI tools like Tableau or Looker. You'll need hands-on Python or R experience, demonstrated ability to design scalable data structures from internal and third-party sources, and excellent collaboration skills to translate data into direction for stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications include experience with event-based data, experimentation, statistical modeling, and building shared measurement frameworks or metrics layers used across multiple teams. This role requires active US work authorization and operates on a flexible hybrid model, primarily from the New York Metropolitan area.
