Halter is a venture-backed agtech company transforming sustainable grazing practices using innovative technology. The company enables farmers and ranchers to optimize operations without traditional constraints like quad bikes, dogs, or fences—using precision livestock management to improve productivity and sustainability. As Commercial Strategy Analyst, you'll be the analytical engine behind Halter's strategic decisions. You'll build financial models, size market opportunities, and conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to guide where the company should compete and how to win. Your work directly informs major commercial bets across new markets, partnerships, and monetization models. Day-to-day responsibilities include: owning quantitative analysis for the Commercial Strategy team's decisions; sourcing and analyzing market data, competitive intelligence, and macro trends; conducting opportunity assessments with financial modeling and sizing; translating complex analysis into clear, actionable charts and narratives for executives and frontline teams; and partnering with Commercial Strategy Managers to execute initiatives from planning through delivery. You'll work cross-functionally with commercial, finance, and product teams, and spend time in the field meeting farmers and ranchers to ground your analysis in real-world context. This is a rare opportunity to build foundational analytical skills at a transformative agtech company while seeing your work directly shape strategic outcomes. Ideal candidates love using data to tell compelling stories, excel at Excel/Sheets modeling, can turn ambiguous problems into clean analysis with incomplete information, and communicate complex findings simply. You're commercially curious, detail-oriented, and thrive in startup environments with speed and ambiguity. Prior experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, FP&A, data analytics, or internal strategy teams is valued. Exposure to agtech, SaaS, or hardware is a bonus.
