Legora is an AI-native legal tech platform serving 2,100+ customers across 80+ countries, including top-tier law firms and enterprises. The company has scaled to $200M+ ARR and operates teams across Europe, North America, and APAC.
As Senior Data Scientist for Product, you will translate business questions into structured analyses and actionable recommendations. You'll work end-to-end: defining metrics, modeling data in dbt, running analyses, and making recommendations. Your insights will directly influence product prioritization, pricing, sales strategy, and engineering roadmap decisions.
You'll be embedded with one or more of these functions depending on your strengths and company needs:
- Product: instrumentation, feature adoption, user behavior, A/B testing, roadmap shaping
- Finance & RevOps: ARR, NRR, forecasting, board reporting, pricing analytics across 40 countries, unit economics
- Growth & Marketing: acquisition funnels, attribution, campaign measurement, lifecycle analytics
- GTM & Customer Success: pipeline analytics, customer health, expansion signals, retention drivers
Key responsibilities include partnering with stakeholders across Product, Finance, GTM, and Growth to translate ambiguous questions into clear recommendations; defining metrics and designing experiments to measure impact; conducting deep-dive analyses on business-critical questions; modeling data in dbt and pulling new sources as needed; building scalable dashboards and reporting; and helping shape data team standards and operations as the company scales.
The data team is small and centralized, supporting the entire company. You'll partner directly with unusually data-fluent leaders who are comfortable opening a SQL editor with you. Your work will have immediate, visible business impact.
Legora values ownership over titles, outcomes over intentions, and high standards with direct, ego-free feedback. The culture emphasizes mission before ego, with everyone contributing and no one coasting.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
- Solid grasp of data modeling and building reliable, trusted analytical work
- Excellent communication skills and confidence to influence decisions through data storytelling, including pushing back when data doesn't support desired conclusions
- Genuine depth in at least one of the following, with competence across the rest and curiosity to grow:
* Data modeling and analytics engineering (dbt, dimensional modeling, semantic layers, self-service)
* Experimentation and causal inference (A/B test design, quasi-experiments, statistical rigor)
* Machine learning and applied data science (forecasting, prediction, segmentation, evaluation)
* Product analytics and metric design (funnels, cohorts, adoption frameworks, North Star metrics)
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience in product-led or SaaS environments, ideally B2B
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, Hex, Dagster
- Prior experience as an early data hire at a fast-growing company, having built the muscle rather than inherited it
