Legora is an AI-native legal workspace used by 1,000+ customers across 50+ countries, including top law firms like Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, and Linklaters. The company has scaled to $100M+ ARR and operates teams across Europe, North America, and APAC.
As Senior Data Scientist for Product, you will translate business questions into structured analyses and actionable recommendations. You'll work end-to-end: defining metrics, modeling data in dbt, running analyses, and making recommendations. You'll sit close to the business and pull in new data sources as needed. The role emphasizes impact over insights—your work directly influences how Legora prioritizes, sells, prices, and builds.
You'll partner directly with leaders across Product, Engineering, Finance, and GTM—most of whom are unusually data-fluent. Depending on your strengths and company needs, you could focus on product instrumentation and A/B testing; finance and RevOps (ARR, NRR, forecasting, unit economics); growth and marketing (acquisition, attribution, lifecycle); or GTM and customer success (pipeline analytics, customer health, retention).
Key responsibilities include partnering with stakeholders to translate ambiguous questions into clear analyses, defining metrics and designing experiments, conducting deep-dive analyses on business-critical questions, modeling data in dbt, building scalable dashboards and reporting, and helping shape data team standards and tooling as the company scales.
You'll need strong proficiency in SQL and Python, solid data modeling expertise, excellent communication and data storytelling skills, and genuine depth in at least one of: analytics engineering (dbt, dimensional modeling), experimentation and causal inference (A/B testing, quasi-experiments), machine learning and applied data science (forecasting, prediction, segmentation), or product analytics and metric design (funnels, cohorts, adoption frameworks).
Nice-to-haves include experience in product-led or B2B SaaS environments, hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, Hex, or Dagster, and prior experience as an early data hire at a fast-growing company. Most importantly, you're someone who gets things done, thrives in fast-paced environments with ambiguity, and is genuinely curious about all parts of the business.
