Fin is an AI Customer Agent company building the highest-performing AI customer support solution on the market. The Research, Analytics & Data Science (RAD) team drives evidence-based decision-making across the organization using data insights to unlock customer empathy, inform product strategy, and shape products that deliver real value.
In this Senior Data Scientist role, you will partner with product teams across R&D to help Fin understand its users, products, and business through metrics and data. You'll work on key data projects that directly impact millions of end users communicating via the Fin messaging platform daily.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with product teams to identify important questions and answer them with data
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to develop key product success metrics, set targets, measure results, and size opportunities
- Design, build, and update end-to-end data pipelines, working with stakeholders to drive new data collection and refine existing data sources
- Partner with product researchers to build holistic understanding of customers, products, and business
- Influence product roadmap and strategy through experimentation, exploratory analysis, and quantitative research
- Build and automate actionable models and dashboards
- Craft data stories and share findings across R&D and the broader company
- Drive and shape RAD foundations and improve how the organization operates
Required qualifications: 5+ years working with data to solve problems and drive evidence-based decisions; excellent SQL skills; proven track record of delivering actionable analysis with minimal supervision; strong communication skills (technical and non-technical); growth mindset and ownership mentality; experience with scientific computing languages (Python or R).
Bonus skills: BI/visualization tools (Tableau, Superset, Looker); data modeling and ETL pipelines; product team experience; leveraging AI tools to boost efficiency in the data science workflow.
