You will join the Brazilian Data Science team as a Senior Data Scientist / Deployment Engineer, responsible for deploying Shift's solutions to new clients and maintaining existing client implementations. The Data Science team is the largest department at Shift, with close to 200 data scientists worldwide working across fraud detection, anti-money laundering, and claim automation products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Client Implementation: Deploy Claim Fraud Detection (CFD) solutions for new clients, managing ETL setup, detection implementation, and workflow automation
- Feature Deployment: Roll out new platform features to existing clients
- Optimization: Drive continuous improvements across client environments and data pipelines
- Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with internal and external stakeholders to define client roadmaps, collect feedback, present business cases, and report on solution performance
- Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor junior data scientists on the team
You will be assigned a designated pod of clients and work with a highly diverse set of data types including structured data, free text, documents, and images. The Brazilian team primarily serves US Property & Casualty (P&C) customers, focusing on solution deployment, client production maintenance, and fraud detection development.
The role offers exposure to full-lifecycle data science work, combining technical expertise in data science, data engineering, software engineering, business understanding, and client engagement. You'll work alongside technical experts in an organization small enough that individual contributions have measurable impact, yet large enough to be a world leader in insurance AI.
