Vanta is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to build and lead the company's business analytics function. You'll partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Customer Success to define measurement frameworks for product health, customer lifecycle, and AI-powered experiences. Key responsibilities include building trusted data assets using dbt and Snowflake, leveraging AI-powered analytics tools like Snowflake Cortex to accelerate insights and automate analysis, designing and evaluating experiments and predictive models, and leading executive analytics reviews to translate complex analyses into actionable recommendations.
You'll help define Vanta's analytics strategy and AI measurement practices as the product and data platform evolve, with a focus on building reusable analytical systems that increase organizational leverage. The role requires 4+ years of applied data science or analytics experience in a B2B SaaS environment, with strong foundations in SQL, Python/R, statistics, and machine learning. You should have deep experience with modern cloud data platforms, data visualization, and product analytics metrics. Experience with AI-assisted analytics tools and LLM-powered workflows is valued. Success in this role means translating ambiguous business problems into meaningful analytical frameworks, demonstrating curiosity about AI applications, and partnering closely across functions throughout the product lifecycle.
