The Senior Data Scientist will join a growing Data Science team to develop and implement advanced analytical models that drive insights and enhance the cybersecurity ratings platform. This role involves building, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models for risk scoring, threat intelligence, and vendor risk assessment. You will perform exploratory data analysis on large, complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies, then validate models for accuracy, robustness, and scalability. Key responsibilities include collaborating with product managers and engineers to define data science requirements and integrate models into production systems, contributing to code reviews and design discussions, and staying current on emerging research and technologies. You will communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. Required qualifications include an advanced degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics) or equivalent professional experience, 5+ years applying data science and machine learning to real-world challenges, proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (scikit-learn, XGBoost, MLFlow, PyTorch), and experience with cloud-based data pipelines (AWS, GCP, or similar). Strong understanding of ML algorithms, evaluation metrics, and model deployment is essential. Prior exposure to cybersecurity, threat intelligence, risk scoring, LLMs, or Scala is a plus.
