As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be a data-driven professional helping to measure, understand, and improve the performance of risk strategies while staying ahead of evolving fraud threats. You'll work directly with clients to understand their unique fraud challenges, rapidly prototype proof-of-concept models, and build scalable, production-ready solutions using machine learning and graph analytics.
Key responsibilities include: championing a data-first approach across internal teams and client engagements; building and deploying machine learning models to prevent fraud across diverse fintech use cases; developing and tracking metrics to measure risk product performance and effectiveness; conducting in-depth analyses to uncover fraud reduction insights; working directly with clients to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations; using data and models to support risk mitigation strategies while preserving user experience; creating and automating self-serve dashboards using BI tools; collaborating with engineering to scale models into production; and partnering with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
You'll need 7+ years of experience in data science, quantitative modeling, or data-focused roles (product analytics, business analytics) with demonstrated high impact in fraud or risk contexts. Strong hands-on proficiency with Python/R and SQL is essential, with Spark as a nice-to-have. Expertise in BI tools such as Tableau, Sigma, or Metabase is required. You should have proven ability to structure and analyze complex data using techniques like exploratory data analysis and cohort analysis, with strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, including clients. Sharp critical thinking, creative problem-solving with bias toward action, and proficiency in defining, tracking, and communicating performance metrics are essential.
