Salary: SGD 181,545 - 191,100 / annual
Coinbase is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the Consumer team, driving data-informed product decisions across spot and advanced trading, yield products, Coinbase One, international expansion, and new launches like prediction markets and equities trading.
You will own a broad scope of analytics and metrics—from core event logging to polished dashboards and visualizations. Your responsibilities include conducting deep-dive analyses on ambiguous business problems, synthesizing complex data into compelling narratives that influence stakeholders, and translating insights directly into product strategy and shipped improvements.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive analysis and deep dives on ambiguous business problems, delivering insights and recommendations that guide team decision-making
- Own a broad scope of data and metrics—from core logging to polished data visualizations
- Lead code reviews, contribute SQL and Python expertise, and maintain reliable ETL pipelines
- Uphold a high bar for statistical rigor, ensuring experimentation and causal analyses build genuine confidence with stakeholders
Required qualifications:
- BA/BS in a quantitative field (Math, Stats, Physics, CS, or similar) with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 3+ years of relevant experience
- Proven track record of delivering impactful data science work in ambiguous problem spaces
- Ability to synthesize complex data into compelling narratives that influence stakeholders
- Practical expertise applying advanced modeling frameworks to real business problems
- Professional proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience working with digital products in an iterative development cycle
- Comfort using generative AI tools responsibly in daily workflows
