The company operates both a flagship consumer app and Calm Health, an enterprise solution serving 3,500+ organizations and 42 million covered lives. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be part of an insights-driven team focused on translating business problems into data-driven solutions. Your primary responsibility is leveraging Calm's consumer data to inform product and growth investment decisions, identify opportunities to improve acquisition, conversion, engagement, retention, and subscriber growth, and build automated analyses and data products for key stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: - Collaborating with product and growth marketing teams to analyze trends in key metrics and their impact on business performance - Conducting deep-dive analyses to understand user engagement behavior - Designing, implementing, and analyzing experiments to measure feature impact on core product metrics - Bridging technical and non-technical teams to translate data insights into actionable recommendations - Building internal data products using tools like Amplitude, Tableau, and Mode to keep decision-makers informed - Developing strong cross-functional partnerships across the organization You will work with ambiguous business questions, build business intuition in the mental health domain, and balance statistical rigor with practical decision-making. The role is ideal for candidates who enjoy diving into new domains and helping teams make faster, better-informed decisions. Required qualifications include strong SQL proficiency, comfort with Python or R, a BA/BS in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related), experience designing and analyzing experiments, and the ability to translate between business and technical requirements. Strong relationship management and presentation skills are essential. Nice-to-have experience includes work on digital consumer products or subscription businesses, product analytics, experimentation, user acquisition, lifecycle marketing, retention, causal inference, incrementality testing, attribution, marketing measurement, and building scalable self-service analytics frameworks.
