Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform, enabling individuals to trade on real-world outcomes across politics, economics, sports, and culture. The platform has facilitated $115B in trading volume and is positioned as an alternative news source reflecting collective expectations about future events. You will serve as a Senior Financial Data Analyst bridging the finance team and data warehouse. The role has two primary dimensions: building and maintaining the financial reporting layer that finance depends on for monthly close, forecasting, and board reporting; and conducting deep analytical work on how fees, incentives, and promotions flow through to revenue and retention metrics. Key responsibilities include: constructing modeled tables in the data warehouse for financial close and forecasting; reconciling general ledger records against actual platform trading activity; translating raw transaction and fee data into clean, production-ready financial reports; analyzing fee structures and their impact on volume, revenue, and trader behavior; measuring return on incentives and promotions (cost, revenue driven, trader retention); partnering with finance through monthly close and variance analysis; replacing ad hoc requests with recurring, modeled reporting; and writing comprehensive documentation enabling team members to independently use your reports and models. You bring 7+ years of experience in data analysis, financial analysis, or similar roles with production reporting experience. You have expert-level SQL skills for complex joins across transaction-level data, a data science background including causal inference and quasi-experimental methods (Python or R), and working knowledge of accounting fundamentals including general ledger structure, accruals, and revenue recognition. You are comfortable in modern cloud data warehouses (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, ClickHouse), maintain a high bar for accuracy and reconciliation, and can translate between finance and engineering contexts. You thrive in fast-moving environments where business logic changes frequently. Bonus qualifications include dbt or similar transformation tooling, on-chain data or crypto accounting familiarity, and fintech or prediction market experience.
