Intercom's Research, Analytics & Data Science (RAD) team is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design, evaluate, and ship AI-powered internal tools for go-to-market (GTM) workflows. This role focuses on building LLM and agent-powered systems that automate high-value work for Sales and Success teams—including account research, personalized outreach generation, renewal risk detection, and post-call summarization.
You will own the full lifecycle of AI tooling projects: from problem definition and data modeling through production deployment. This includes writing Python backends, designing evaluation frameworks for LLM outputs, and collaborating with GTM Systems to measure real business impact (win rate, conversion, cycle time). You'll prototype rapidly with users, then productionize to iterate quickly and deliver measurable outcomes.
Key responsibilities include designing and shipping AI-powered internal tools for GTM use cases; working end-to-end from problem definition to production-ready systems; prototyping fast and shipping to learn; instrumenting for adoption and measuring business outcomes; and evangelizing new tooling through documentation and enablement sessions.
Required skills: proven track record of applied data science with measurable GTM impact; LLM/ML application experience including RAG, prompt design, vector search, and evals; strong SQL and Python/R proficiency; experience with orchestration tools (DBT, Airflow); excellent communication and ability to translate complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders; collaborative product mindset working closely with Sales and Success teams.
