Solaris is Europe's leading embedded finance platform, offering Banking-as-a-Service solutions to SMEs and multinational companies. The Senior Data Protection Manager will support the Data Protection Officer and team in executing critical compliance and governance functions. Key responsibilities include drafting and maintaining data protection policies and procedures, managing Records of Processing Activities per GDPR Article 30, and safeguarding data subject rights through breach notifications and reporting obligations. The role involves training employees on data protection, monitoring contractor compliance, and conducting data protection impact assessments for sensitive or high-risk processing activities, including cross-border data transfers. You will advise internal stakeholders on data protection legal provisions, relevant contracts, and company guidelines; perform control and monitoring activities to ensure regulatory compliance; investigate potential data breaches and coordinate reporting to authorities and affected parties; and prepare annual and ad-hoc compliance reports for management. The position includes serving as Deputy DPO when required. The ideal candidate brings 6–8 years of data protection experience in-house or at a consultancy, preferably in banking/financial services, with a law degree or equivalent background. You are solution-oriented, analytical, detail-focused, and comfortable with AI-assisted workflows. Strong communication and presentation skills, agility, and integrity are essential. English fluency is required; German is desired but not mandatory.
