Salary: USD 170,000 - 230,000 / annual
SentiLink is a Series B fintech company providing identity verification and fraud detection solutions. The company has achieved significant traction, verifying hundreds of millions of identities through real-time APIs, and is backed by top-tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz and Craft Ventures. As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will own the data infrastructure components that power SentiLink's fraud detection products, working across product, engineering, and data science teams.
Key responsibilities include building and optimizing data infrastructure to create accurate identity datasets and relationship graphs; developing secure, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that meet product requirements; designing and maintaining a data observability framework to ensure data quality and freshness standards; optimizing the data storage layer and building interfaces for scalable data access; collaborating with product squads on their data platform needs; participating in production on-call rotation; mentoring junior engineers; and driving innovation through hackathons and proof-of-concepts.
You will work with a modern tech stack including Python, Golang, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, Redshift, EMR, Spark, Docker, Lambda, and AWS technologies. The role requires 5+ years of software or data engineering experience, proficiency in Python or Golang, expertise in building ETL/ELT pipelines at scale using distributed processing technologies like Spark or Kafka, hands-on AWS experience, deep understanding of multiple database technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL, columnar stores), and experience building enterprise-grade containerized data services on Kubernetes. Bonus qualifications include Spark/EMR experience, streaming applications, AWS services expertise, and fintech startup background.
This is a fully remote, US-based position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and reside in the US. SentiLink operates as a digital-first company with offices in Austin, San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Chicago, plus international offices in India.
