Proof of Skill is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that integrate data from multiple sources and vendors. You will be responsible for building and managing data warehouse solutions, designing data models, creating ETL processes, and implementing data quality mechanisms. The role involves performing exploratory data analysis (EDA) to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in resolution, with direct client interaction required.
You will mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices. This position requires extensive hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, and Dataiku, combined with strong expertise in data warehousing, ETL, data modeling, and pipeline development. You should have proven experience with Snowflake databases and working knowledge of Databricks, Redshift, and Azure Data Factory.
Cloud services experience is essential, including AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda, CloudWatch, Athena) and Azure. You must demonstrate sound knowledge of end-to-end data management, DataOps, quality assurance, and data governance. Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) and Waterfall/Agile methodologies is required.
The ideal candidate brings strong domain knowledge in the pharma/life sciences sector, particularly with commercial data operations. Experience working with pharma syndicated data sources such as IQVIA, Veeva, and Symphony, as well as claims, CRM, and sales data, is highly valued. You should be self-organized, collaborative, and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
