Vercel is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own the reliability and quality of data infrastructure serving the Go-To-Market (GTM) organization. This is a full-stack role spanning data pipeline development, transformation, and modeling that powers Sales, Marketing, and RevOps decision-making.
You will build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines ingesting CRM, marketing automation, outbound tooling, and product usage data into the data warehouse. You'll design dbt models that transform raw GTM data into clean, trusted datasets for pipeline, revenue, attribution, and funnel metrics. Your responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving data quality and freshness issues at the source, setting testing and documentation standards, and building self-service datasets that reduce reliance on ad-hoc requests.
Key responsibilities include partnering closely with GTM stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, RevOps leadership) to understand how metrics are used and ensure accuracy; designing semantic models powering dashboards and reports; establishing high engineering standards for pipeline and transformation code; mentoring junior engineers; and advocating for best practices in GTM data modeling and pipeline design.
You'll report to the Data team's engineering lead and have full ownership over your domain, with the autonomy to set technical direction and raise the bar for how the team builds GTM data infrastructure. The role requires translating ambiguous business questions into durable technical solutions and bringing enough business context to spot problematic metrics before they ship.
