ServiceTitan is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its Data Platform team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in building and evolving the company's core data platform, working on high-impact features in a rapidly growing, high-scale environment.
Key responsibilities include:
• Build and maintain high-performance, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems supporting enterprise-grade data and analytical products
• Contribute to Semantic Layer and Data Share solutions, enabling governed data access across the organization
• Develop clean semantic models using dbt MetricFlow to define standardized business metrics and support data curation solutions
• Implement and tune distributed storage and query performance techniques to improve platform efficiency and reduce latency
• Partner with cross-functional teams on ETL pipelines, extracting and transforming data from transactional, streaming, and analytical sources
• Write robust, well-tested, and maintainable code with active participation in code reviews
• Build automation for monitoring, alerting, and data quality measurement to support platform reliability
• Participate in on-call rotation to monitor system stability and respond to incidents
Required qualifications:
• B.S. in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Software Engineering or Data Engineering roles in high-traffic, highly available production environments
• Solid proficiency with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred), SQL, and dbt
• Strong programming skills in Python, Spark, Java, Scala, or similar languages
• Experience with Big Data technologies (Snowflake, Redshift, Hive/Hadoop)
• Familiarity with Semantic Modeling concepts and query performance optimization
• Experience with production on-call rotations and CI/CD practices
• Exposure to streaming/messaging platforms like Kafka or Kinesis is a plus
