The Data & Analytics team within Business Technology is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to architect and build data infrastructure at scale. This role goes beyond pipeline building—you'll design data platforms as products, architect Spark-driven workflows, and build intelligent tooling including MCP servers and AI agents that automate data engineering workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and backend ingestion workflows for Samsara's Data Platform
- Work with diverse data sources including ERP (NetSuite), CRM (Salesforce), product, order flow, and support ticket data
- Manage critical data pipelines enabling growth initiatives and advanced analytics
- Facilitate data integration and transformation across applications, ensuring interoperability with data layers and the data lake
- Develop and improve data architecture, quality, monitoring, observability, and availability
- Write data transformations in SQL/Python for Analytics, Marketing Operations, and Sales Operations teams
- Build distributed systems and Spark-based solutions at scale

This is a remote position open to US candidates except those in the San Francisco Bay Area, NYC Metro Area, and Washington D.C. Metro Area.
