Form Energy is a climate technology company developing long-duration iron-air battery systems for grid-scale energy storage. The company is scaling manufacturing operations at its first high-volume facility in Weirton, WV, and has secured contracts with leading US utilities.
The Factory Software team is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to own the reporting, dashboards, and Business Intelligence infrastructure that powers factory operations. This is a key technical role bridging manufacturing data and actionable insights for production optimization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated reporting and interactive dashboards providing visibility into factory performance and operational metrics
- Own the BI space for the Factory Software team, serving as the primary contact for data requests from factory stakeholders
- Collaborate with Factory teams to understand workflows and translate business requirements into technical data solutions and visualizations
- Build and optimize data models and transformations using SQL and Python to structure factory data for efficient reporting
- Establish and maintain standards for data quality, documentation, and dashboard performance across the manufacturing organization
- Proactively improve data accessibility and provide technical support/training on self-service BI tools
- Liaise between manufacturing end-users and the broader Software team to drive continuous improvement of data systems
Required qualifications:
- 4+ years of industry experience writing reusable code for data analysis
- Proficiency with SQL and Python in collaborative environments
- Experience with exploratory and explanatory analysis of data from physical systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical information for non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with excellent time management and prioritization
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or equivalent work experience
Highly desirable:
- Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environments with software systems and production operations
- Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders (Engineering, Operations, Software)
