Chime is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join the New Account Risk team, protecting the enrollment funnel from fraud while maintaining a frictionless experience for legitimate applicants. This L4 role sits at the intersection of trust and growth—the moment someone becomes a Chime member is critical, and your work will directly reduce synthetic identity theft and ID fraud losses while improving funnel enrollment rates. You will analyze enrollment and application data to identify fraud patterns and opportunities to reduce losses with minimal friction to legitimate users (35% of time). You'll partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Compliance, and Operations to design, test, and monitor new account risk policies and decision rules, turning insights into shipped improvements (30%). You'll build and maintain dashboards and reports tracking Funnel Enrollment Rate, fraud loss, approval rates, and false-positive rates against team goals (20%). You'll also monitor third-party vendor models and risk signals, flagging anomalies and trends to senior stakeholders (10%), and support ad-hoc cross-functional analysis requests (5%). The role requires 3+ years in Fraud, Risk, Compliance, or Investigations, ideally with exposure to new account enrollment, identity fraud, or KYC/CIP processes. You'll need strong SQL skills, familiarity with Python, R, or similar analytical languages, and experience with BI tools like Looker or Hex. Advanced Excel proficiency, comfort with AI tools (Glean, Claude), exceptional attention to detail, and a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (engineering, statistics, math, economics) are preferred. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, solving challenging analytical problems for millions of Chime members.
